Computer vision syndrome (CVS) refers to eye and vision problems linked to extended computer use. |

|
This has become an increasingly common affliction as a result of increased computer use at work or at play. |

According to research, about 70-75 % of people who work in front of the computer develop eye and vision problems. |

The good news is, CVS can make you feel bad and affect your productivity, but it will not cause permanent eye damage. |

| Signs and Symptoms |

Irritated eyes (dry, itchy or red eyes), blurred vision, headaches, backaches and muscle fatigue after too much time in front of the computer. |

A less common symptom is a slower change in eye focus. There is a slight delay in the eye's ability to focus when you shift from looking at something from afar to something closer, or vice versa. |
